Boreal Kennels offers some of the most scenic dog sledding day trips in the southern Yukon. Mush the frozen Southern Lakes and take glimpse of the beautiful Coastal Mountains. Half day tours available all winter.
After a safety briefing and an introduction to the dogs and sled, we will hit the trail for a duration of about 2 hours. During the dog sled trip we will travel through forested trails, down to the beach at Bennett lake, Carcross and we will follow a portion of the old White Pass route. Hot drinks and snacks when we get back to our base.
Daily trips available all winter.
After a safety briefing and an introduction to the dogs and sled, we will depart for our dog sledding excursion. We will travel along the old White Pass route and cross the Watson river. If time allows we will also mush down the beach of Bennett lake in Carcross.
A few hours of mushing and we will stop to snack the dogs and the humans at our established camp in the bush. A chance to warm up by the wood stove in a traditional Canadian wall tent. More dog sledding in the afternoon before we safely return home. Hot drinks and snacks when we return to our base.
